Literature
Translation of a piece of writing by Latin-American author José Lezama Lima. Translating fiction requires idiomatic understanding and creative flexibility to interpret the author’s message and style into the target language. I chose to translate “Doble Noche” by Argentinian writer José Lezama Lima for its use of magical realism.
